Luis Crespo, the principal consultant at Luar Consulting, LLC, has over 35 years of combined experience in oilfield upstream service operations, technical support, service quality, safety, and industry regulatory compliance. His work assignments and responsibilities with Schlumberger include:
Working in the Sustaining Engineering group at ISO 9001 certified Engineering-Manufacturing Centers in Texas, where Luis managed mature product projects, such as design upgrades, documentation control and manufacturing support. As SME (Subject Matter Expert), he performed and participated in operations support, design reviews, safety and supplier audits, and regulatory compliance evaluation.
Luis trained field engineers and technical support staff at Learning Centers in Scotland and in Egypt.
Luis started as an oilfield wireline engineer and then, performed and managed many field operations in South America and the United Kingdom that included petrophysical evaluation, well completion and well production services.
Therefore, HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and QMS (Quality Management Systems) requirements compliance have been an integral part of his professional career duties.
To consolidate his QMS experience, Luis has completed the following training courses at DNV (Det Norske Veritas) in 2019:
ISO 9001:2015 QMS Foundation and Internal Auditor
ISO 9001:2015 Management Systems Lead Auditor, achieving final course certified by CQI-IRCA.
